My dad is a F300 senior VP, and cash compensation is $200k, but with stock options his total compensation is slightly over $2 million. Same with their GC and others. If you make it to the top of any large corporation, you're going to make a lot of $$.

Stock options are what really matter at most public companies. I worked at a private company that would be F200 in terms of revenue, and saw the compensation of all execs up to CEO.

VP - 180-225k + 25-30% Bonus

S.VP - 300-350k + 50% Bonus

E.VP (report directly to CEO) 500-600k + 100% bonus

Regular VP's were obviously doing pretty well, but only the E.VP's (heads of groups) gave me the sense they were truly "wealthy."
