If you get really deep into the physics, the mass of the pully actually exerts a geometrodynamical force that acts upon the field containing the rope. |

If you put a couple pulleys together, it confuses the gravity molecules and they stop pushing down on the object you are trying to move, hence, the object stops feeling heavy and you can build things with large blocks such as pyramids, and also places like Nan Madol.
