Cardinals -- I can't believe they went to a Superbowl. Kurt Warner deserved the Hall of Fame if the only thing he ever did in football was guide that franchise to the Superbowl.

Dolphins-- dominant in the 70s but shit since. I can't remember the last time I watched a Dolphins game other than when they play the Iggles.

fair list. issue with a lot of teams (panthers, titans, jags) is their cities are basically transplant communities. you will see more giants and 49ers fans than the home team.

also, I think the titans shouldve used "Nashville". word associaiton helps and nashville conjures a feeling whereas tennessee feels bland.

I think the franchise is older than the Bears-- they were originally based in Chicago. Everyone talks about Lions and Browns, etc. But the Cardinals have basically never been good except for one time in the 1930s or something.

they got more play in infinite jest than in all the hours of classic nfl films documentaries that i watched as a kid, from which i can’t recall a single second of cardinals footage even as an opponent. might as well not have existed until 1990.

the one thing about the cardinals is that az is filled with transplants from the midwest that dont really have a team.

so there are packers fans and vikings and steelers fans that populate that region but nobody from des moines is deeply connected; they just randomly choose a team

id add seahawks to the OP. no one gave a fuck about them until rudolph

seattle has had a pretty cool stadium for 20+ years though which has helped. the kingdome really held them back

Seems like Panthers have a good fan base in Charlotte & northern SC.

However, Jags don't seem to have a solid fan base, which is kind of crazy considering how far they are from any other major cities. Probably has a lot to do with the shitty, shitty, awful stadium.

jax is mix of navy people, deep south SEC fans who dgaf about the nfl, retired boomers too prole/not jewish enough to pick south FLA to move to, retards from places like UCF and GA southern, and other transient middling corporate fags who are more likely to be steelers/cowboys fans or fans of whatever state school they went to vs. giving a fuck about the jags. plus there's also the very very violent blacks all over the place.

jax has a lot of good qualities and things going for it and gets shat on way too much but having a unified sense of community and identity is not one of them.

north florida is an interesting place because it contains both the highest median income county and the zip codes with the highest murder rates in the state of florida. i feel like the gentlemen you referenced represent the latter.

The Rams were so down on LA they moved to Anaheim Stadium in the early 80s and then moved to fuckin St. Louis. And then there was no team at all there for like 20 years. Then they got the Rams back and promptly stole the Chargers for no reason. I bet if you did a poll the most popular NFL team in LA is still the Raiders, who only played there for like 10 years and left 30 years ago.
