The social interaction goes on with in-house counsel who are as BETA as it comes. I dont know what kind of "pitch making" you think goes on in law, but we dont take clients to strip clubs or act like used car dealers. If the letterhead doesnt already sell us, its a nice powerpoint presentation that does the job. Maybe selling Joe the Plumber on your firm takes some dick sucking, but in the big firm world its all a bit more civilized.

A Chapter 11 for an S-corp or closely held LLC is generally a 15 or even 20k retainer depending on the size of the file. I've only ever done a handful of Chapter 11 because as I said this is my side project. Chapter 7's are $1200 but some losers charge as low as 900. 10% of the 7's I do are pro-bono.
