All that happens when they break is the plunger cracks in half. You pull the head off and remove the plunger to find it is separated into an upper half and a lower half. So I'm pulling the crankshaft back and forth to show him what end-play is. Then went up to the heads and did the same with a camshaft. I ask, "what's that called?" He goes: "Camshaft end-play!"
