Anywhere in the vicinity of the harbor: Fells Point, Federal Hill, Otterbein, Locust Point, and Canton. All filled with young pretentious yuppies (if you can survive Georgetown, you can survive these neighborhoods).
Other areas: Bolton Hill/Mount Vernon~old rich 19th century neighborhoods filled with gays and artists and liberals.
Up in the northern reaches of the city. Expensive houses, but a number of decent attractive apartment buildings mainly for older widows or Hopkins grad students, areas to check out are: Roland Park, Guilford, Tuscany Canterbury, Charles Village.
