The truth is that unlike RSF Sr, my old man is a miser. My father is insanely rich and has never done anything to help me financially. This is an incredibly pathetic thing to whine about because a lot of my friends for some reason never even knew their dads and came from nothing and shit. So it's extremely lame to whine about it. But I've been in denial for a long time about just how stingy my ratfuck father is.

Some XO dads like cslg who put millions in the bank for his kids already and they're still in elementary school. My dad would never do fuckall for me. Even my dad's dad did more for him than mine did for me. My grandfather died and left my boomer dad enough money to buy a house. My dad would never buy me a house.

I realize this is one of the most pathetic things ever whined about in the history of Zozo but I have to put it out there to get dunked on. I know many of you grew up in a trailer park and made it all the way to biglaw and financial freedom and shit. I just can't think of one example of anyone in my life who has a rich dad who didn't benefit from it hardly at all. And until recently I was in denial both of how rich he was and of how little he's done for me.

He also is really out of touch like while his kids struggle to survive he spends his money lavishly on his pet dogs, Michelin star dining, trips to Antarctica, and adding gold leaflet trim on his awning. He's obviously enjoying the fruits of his labor. Zero concern for the children. I have friends whose parents have a small fraction of my dad's wealth who have done 10x as much financially for them as mine have. People move heaven and Earth for their kids. Is my old man justified in living it up for himself? Am I undeserving scum? I just can't think of one example anywhere of someone who had rich parents but they didn't lift a finger to help them.

Inheritance is split with my siblings. My sister is an escort with nojerb and she gets more because she's the favorite. My brother is a high school dropout who plays video games all day. I exaggerated how much he "docked" my inheritance. It's honestly like nickels and dimes. Yeah he helped me out he gave me a $20 bill for Christmas and shit. It's like a really tiny amount. Lol. You have mentioned a number of people in your "peer group" that sound like the ultimate fail-sons whose parents do whatever to keep them afloat. And then you seem to suggest that if your dad just gave you some money, that you'd be more successful in some way. I am not convinced this is the case.

To be clear, your dad does sound like a real miser and like a shitlib from what you've described elsewhere. Especially w.r.t. him excusing your sister for basically being a hooker. That said, he does seem to hold you to a much higher standard because you are a man (which is in opposition to his stated shitlib persuasions).

My read is that he actually thinks you've got the juice to make a life for yourself and this may be his way of trying to coax you into doing it. Note that I don't mean he thinks you must make as much $$$ as him, but that you can maek it on your own.

I think also that someone who is given truly substantial $$$ from their parents will have their own challenges. I like to think that if I were in that sort of situation that I'd do something really "outside the box" with my life. But I won't flatter myself. I think it probably becomes hard to push through the sort of bullshit involved with work, even if you're building a meaningful career, if you know you've got a huge backstop of $$$$$$$ cash.

All this makes me think of Inception and how Saito had them put an idea in the head of Robert Fischer to break up his father's company. And the idea was that this would let Saito's company have total market dominance. In reality, if they were really able to put that idea in Fischer's mind at the deepest level, Fischer would probably go on to be the greatest success his industry has ever seen.
