Also, it's not that expensive to rent there, especially if you sublet then take over a lease. People are always making deals on Craiglist to get rid of places there because they're moving in a hurry and need someone. |

I'd say a lot are from the burbs or went to Big Ten schools.

The shops are super high-end and I can generally get shit on sale in other areas for cheaper. I went to Jake Melnick's to watch some ball, then checked out my UG (NU) beat the Illini. But I got to spend some time just watching the women wander around and I couldn't explain how they inhabited the same part of town as my well-to-do parents.
