NO idea. listened to the lectures and took notes from them (so all the time needed to listen to them), and maybe 4 practice MBEs. I spent the last two weeks studying maybe 8 hours a day (during weekdays).
enough, apparently.

about 500
I knew I was over-preparing, but it's better than the alternative and now I'm not stressed until results come out.

in May and June, probably averaged about 4-5 hours a day (did not tend to watch lectures, this was straight up reading the large outlines and doing practice MBEs). So that's 45 days times 4.5, about 200 hours.
In July I kicked it up a notch. About 7-10 hours a day. Let's just call it 8. 28 times 8 = 224.
So yeah, probably about 400-450 hours.

I have a hard time understanding how anyone could (1) actually study 8 hours a day for the entirety of July and (2) need to study that much to pass.
I went to Barbri lectures until I figured out the 1.5X speed shit, and then I just watched them at home. I never did any extra studying on those days except maybe some practice MBE questions. After July 4th, I watched baseball, drank beer, and actually "studied" about 2-4 hours a day on average.
About a week before the exam I "ramped up" to about 4-5 hours a day and cut out the beer (still watched baseball). That was enough. I would have burned out if I did more.
Edit: That adds up to ---> 3 hours a day in June (3 * 22 = 66) + 3 hours average after July 4 (3 * 15 = 45) + 5 hours a day at the end (5 * 7 = 35) = 146 hours. That seems about right. 150 is credited.

Well, good for you. Hope you pass. I figured that I would do myself a disservice if I didn't treat this summer as my job to learn the law and pass the exam the first time. Most full time jobs are 8-10 hours a day. Most lawyers spend more than that working. I didn't have anything else to do.
I do not have the luxury of drinking beer and watching baseball and chillin' with the boys back in Texas, hoping that some casual video watching and reading will carry me through.
I'm not the smartest person ever, but I am pretty smart. And I figure, if I am going to be a lawyer, I might as well be more than just minimally competent. But hey, you do your thing man.

started on the 7th of July seriously, but had done maybe 10-12 hours reading stuff in June.
worked on it all day every day for about 21 days straight. i'd say some days i did 6 hours a day, some days 10. avg. 8. turned off my phone, didn't correspond with anyone.
@ 170 hrs total

Between 120 and 150. A lot of those days in July didn't really start until 2, and then there was posting on XOXO during it.

i watched most of the lectures in june but didn't do any of the homework. started studying more diligently after july 5th by catching up on most of the lectures i missed, made my own outlines for around half of the subjects, and used other ppl's outlines for the other half. spent most of my time in july trying to remember the important stuff for each subject. only did like 100ish MBE Qs and read thru 20 or so official released essay answers the day before the exam.
on the actual exam, i probably did okay on the essays, though i doubt i got every issue correct. felt like the MBE was kind of a shitshow.
probably passed but there's definitely no guarantee.
