Here's the plan for pwnage of 1L courses
Prior to starting LS in August, try to obtain the July BARBRI materials for a pittance. Use the BARBRI stuff for CIVPRO, etc. in your outlines as the BLL and pwn your colleagues.
Rate said plan NAO.

explain.
how much work is it to email someone on craig's list and arrange to meet to buy his books.
how much work is it to buy a used emmanuel outline off amazon for 15 bucks.
how much work is it to get the E and E from the law library and read the 8 page chapter on whatever topic.
---
compare the above the reading 30 pages of your textbook while you try to brief that crap only to get the MINORITY rule of law... lol.

Can't you just enroll in barbri 1L?
" Put $100 down today. This one-time fee covers enrollment and provides you access to first year materials such as lectures, outlines, and StudySmart practice questions"

not really a good idea. law school exams test your ability in part to analyze & wrestle with various issues (majority / minority distinctions, old / new, and some policy). the bar is not like that at all - there is one rule, and you need to apply it exactly.
there are much better 1L supplements out there. i've posted this list before, but:
Conlaw - Chemerinsky
Contracts - the sailboat book (author's name begins with a C)
Crim - Dressler
Torts - Emmanuels or Gilberts
Civ Pro - Glannon E&E
Property - Emmanuels or Gilberts
