Would anyone find out? Probably not.
Is it worth the risk? That depends. Do you value your own integrity at all? How much do you want to practice law? If someone finds out (low probably), you probably won't pass character & fitness review (high cost). Regardless of whether anyone finds out, you will be acting without integrity (high cost to some, low to others) for certain (certain probability).
Am I being a douchebad for considering it? Yes.

you probably won't get caught, but if you do your legal career is over, even in the unlikely event you get past the moral character determination. getting past your ethical lapse, a prospective employer is going to be asking what kind of writer you really are if you have to cheat your way on to law review, and wonder whether the writing samples you submit are legit.
proper citation form and the quality and logic of your legal argument is >>>> important than some stylistic crap that you might get from a professional editing service.

Yeah, just ask Uncle Joey. He'll help you. Remember the time he carried that brick of coke home that we bought on vacation in Columbia?
It might work, but you'll be *PWN3D* if anyone finds out about it. We're talking about your entire future career. And the edit might be bad, in which case you won't make the review anyway. On the other hand, if the edit is good and nobody finds out, they're still gonna wonder how it is that you, a B+ editor, came in with a 99.999th percentile edit.
