There was one in which they were testing out a drug for depressed patients and were interested in knowing if it made them more sensitive to loud noises. I was part of the control group - the pay was $30 for five minutes of my time. They set me up with HRM and some sort of sensor around my head, and left me alone in a room. Then a loud BANG noise came out of the speakers. Then they came in and told me it was over, lol. |
