I just got rejected at columbia business and am pretty devastated. I thought I had a good shot and really wanted to be in NYC. All the students I know there are having a blast. I still haven't heard back from harvard, wharton, and chicago, but it looks like I'm not gonna get in since it's so close to the interview invite deadline. Oh well. I have to spend an extra year in shitty Chicago and reapply for round 1 next year. "

Given that I'm 30 years old already, I had pretty much given up on the notion of going to b-school full-time since I'm not willing to go below the "elite" programs. I'm wondering if I do really well at either fund A or B, whether I have a stronger chance of getting into a place like wharton or booth full-time."
