and dirk has 2 fucked ankles and duncan sevrely injured his ankle right beforen the playoffs and again vs seattle. i love how people who don't know sports think that guys who play 82 high intensity games in 6 months are going to be as fresh as a daisy in the playoffs. everyone is hurt, no one is near 100%
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:00 PM Author: Transparent abode trust fund
Dude do you realize how hurt everyone else is? Shaq is a pussy who likes to makes excuses even though he's always talking about being the greatest ever
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:04 PM Author: Transparent abode trust fund
How is that worse than a guy like mcgrady who plays a much more injury prone style by slashing, driving, making quick movements, and is more likely to have a severe tear if he gets undercut or falls wrong and takes punishments every time he drives the lane? look at all the other guys: marion is fucked, amare is fucked, nash is taking IVs after each game, johnson is out of commission-- Shaq is just a fucking bitch. there isn't a single elite player in the nba who isn't injured.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:08 PM Author: Transparent abode trust fund
obviously you haven't seen those guys. they have severe tendinitis, bone spurs, joint problems, etc and are playing with them. hell, j oneal played on one arm the entire playoffs. i have a hard time feeling sorry for shaq.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:13 PM Author: Transparent abode trust fund
They'll recover, but they aren't in good health. shaq is also old and has been in bad shape too long and thinks he can just turn it on when he needs to. I'm happy that he's seeing he is wrong.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:11 PM Author: Wonderful antidepressant drug
did you see the size of those fucking needles they were using to extract the blood in shaq's leg...HOLY SHIT, i would cry like a baby, these were HUGE!!!
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:18 PM Author: Transparent abode trust fund
theres probably so much dead fluid stuck in his leg; i bet it took a good 20 minutes just to drain most of it. Also they numb up the leg too before they drain it
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:02 PM Author: Thriller impertinent ape new version
Not for nothing, but I think that shaq's giant fucking body lends itself to being injured moreso than any other player's (think of the stress on his joints and shit!)...not only that, but he is constantly being hacked...

I didn't read the article, but I can tell you that Arash Markazi character is a clown. He wrote for USC's student newspaper where he caused a big controversy when he trashed Mike Williams who basically is like god at that campus...well aside from Matt Leinart. Many people in the USC community hate Markazi. I'm sure your reference was to his arab sounding name but I thought I'd add some substance to the topic as long as that clown is getting dissed here.

what the fuck are you talking about, The detroit D was fucking nothing, and them busters could barely score, Tayshaun didn't do shit, billups didnt do shit, Ben didn't do shit, Rasheed was the only fucking reason they won.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 10:58 PM Author: filthy territorial elastic band locus
Im not here to argue about how good detroit is, I'm pissed b/c miami didn't play like I know they're capable of playing, they didn't run a crisp offense.
They were pretty much sleep the whole fucking game, these bitches better fucking wake up for game 2.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:08 PM Author: Pearl tanning salon hunting ground
the only thing you have to say is "you don't know anything about basketball" "you should retire" "you don't understand the heat"... that's fucking weak, actually say something of substance
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:19 PM Author: filthy territorial elastic band locus
Ok, Miami sucked on the boards, they were outrebounded as a team by detroit. Damon Jones couldn't find a way to fucking score, Wade did not take control of the game, even though he wasn't even garded by Tayshaun that much.
Wade would go to the hole and stop, with nowere to go, he couldn't pass out, he couldn't go up with it. Wade did not know what to do with the fucking ball. His jumper wasn't falling, and he still forced bad shots instead of getting the ball to his teammates in the best possible position to score.
I'm seriously pissed that no miami player had double figure rebounds, and that eddie Jones was the leading rebounder for the heat. Thats re fucking dickulous.
They didn't run a crisp offense, they held the ball to long and acted like they didn't know what to do with the fucking ball(the whole team was like this w/ the exception of E. Jones and Snaq)
They gave Rasheed too many good outside looks, they couldn't contain Rip Hamilton, and those two constantly got good shots.
Some good things I saw were putting Rasual Butler on Tayshaun, and D Wade on Billups, w/ D Jones on the fucking bench.
Also, when Snaq and Zo were in there at the same time, that provided a lot of energy and I think they need to take that under serious consideration in game 2.
Wade and D. Jones need to watch film of every game against detroit and figure out how to find a way to fucking score, Detroit didn't do anything that Miami hasn't seen before.
Lets go fellas get it together. Is that enough analysis for you?
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:27 PM Author: filthy territorial elastic band locus
I think its mostly a confidence thing, Detroit wears you the fuck down, they dont get shaken easily, whereas the heat haven't been here before, and they clearly got rattled by the pistons.
Rasheed stepped up big time and silenced any noise miami tried to make.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:33 PM Author: Hyperventilating haunting goyim
I think that is basically right. The Pistons rarely lose their composure, and when baskets get expensive and every possession counts, that gives them a real edge.
But I think it is also a matter of the Pistons D making everything difficult for the opposing team. It gets very frustrating.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 10:58 PM Author: Dashing pearly den
They won by nine points. Nine, in Miami's own house! Blame it on Sheed all you want, but even with him out of the game, Detroit would have steamrolled the HeaTTT.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:02 PM Author: Dashing pearly den
A team doesn't just let itself get beaten in its own house. Especially not a team like Miami. Face it, Miami was on fire tonight. They played as hard as they could, and they still lost by nine!
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:10 PM Author: Dashing pearly den
I was watching the game where Miami tried their best but drowned under Detroit's deft defense. How the fuck do you go scoreless for the last four minutes of a close game? Because you've been utterly and totally shut down by a superior team, that's why.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 10:48 PM Author: Tantric flickering lettuce
dude, give the guy a break. it's his first conference final. it's a 7 game series not a one game series. He was able to get shots, the pistons did not "lock him down". he had some open looks in the first half that just didn't go down.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 10:50 PM Author: federal razzmatazz knife menage
he's a great player but i was so fed up with the wadegasm that hit all the sports pages after the washington series.
im a wizards fan and trust me -- WE SUCK. we dont play any fuckign defense. and its not like the pistons did anything extraordinary out there tonight defensively. they just played smart and hard. the wizards barely even tried to cover the little douche.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 10:54 PM Author: federal razzmatazz knife menage
hughes is a bitch
he got on the first team because he got lots of steals and he got lots of steals because the wizars play a brand of cheating defense that results in lots of steals against weak teams but gets shredded by decent ones.
also, washington played tons of zone against miami, very little man to man, so hughes wasnt matched up on wade very often.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 10:51 PM Author: filthy territorial elastic band locus
like I said, He played like shit tonight, he's gonna have to shake whatever insecurities hes had, b/c detroits D aint shit, he should've shredded those fuckers.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 10:55 PM Author: Dashing pearly den
You just watch. This is the best Wade can do against Detroit. He's a scared little boy, and Detroit will make him shit his pants three more times before this is over.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:11 PM Author: Hyperventilating haunting goyim
Wade will probably have at least one or two breakout games. But he can't have many more nights like this if the Heat are going to have any chance.
Oh, and Heat fans ... everybody feels like their guys are just f'n up when playing the Pistons. But the Pistons take away what you like to do, and you better find different ways to win.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:26 PM Author: Hyperventilating haunting goyim
Absolutely. No one gave them a chance going into the Finals last year, and to be fair, some people actually changed their minds about the Pistons after that.
I gotta say I expected more out of the Heat. I mean, I pretty much expected Shaq, EJones and Wade to perform as they did. Tayshaun is an extremely good defender, and the Pistons are good at weak side defense down low. They close in when you drive to the bucket, so D Wade was gonna have a hard time with anything. Shaq will get his points, but the Pistons will try to prevent him getting the ball. Consequently he will have an incredible shooting percentage, but not over 25 or 30 points. And EJones is their consistent scorer, so no surprise there.
Haslem, Zo and DJones sucked ass. They are the culprits, and they've gotta step up in Game 2, or this series is over.
The fact of the matter is that Haslem isn't used to being guarded. Most teams double on Shaq at all times, and so Haslem gets to look like a stud. That being said, he's a quality player, and needs to show up despite being guarded.

I'm really not familiar enough with his game--does he have something besides the little jumper? Because it would be helpful for the Heat if he started showing it.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:48 PM Author: filthy territorial elastic band locus
WHat the heat need to do, and I've been saying this for a while, they need to put pressure on them wallace boys, and start getting those fuckers in foul trouble, they are the anchors of that detroit team, and once you kill the head then the body is dead.
Wade needs to take it to the hole a lot stronger than he did tonight, and actually finish instead of acting like he ran into a brick wall.
Date: May 23rd, 2005 11:53 PM Author: crystalline theater stage
He is running into a brick wall though. He took it to the hole like he did in the earlier series against the Wizards and Nets and there were long arms in his way. He got blocked at least 5 times, perhaps more.
Every shot he takes is going to be challenged more strongly than anything he's seen thus far in the playoffs.
I really don't think this is Wade's game to win or lose on the drive. He's playing into Detroit's hands coming into the middle. I think Wade should stick to the midrange jumper, and if that's not falling, try to get everybody involved.
I've been saying for awhile, I don't think Shaq and Wade can win this series for the Heat. Somebody else has to step up.

Well, isn't this thread just the showdown of the trolls?
The Heat trolls/Pistons detractors underappreciate the Pistons' game.
The Pistons trolls/Heat detractors need to realize that Shaq's injury is definitely going to have a serious effect and possibly be a deciding factor in the series.
Date: May 24th, 2005 12:44 AM Author: Hyperventilating haunting goyim
Obviously Shaq's health is a significant factor.
The problem is that there will be no way to disprove that it was a "deciding" factor, should the Heat lose. People could always speculate how things would be different if Shaq was healthier, and there would be no way to test their speculation.
"I think the next series will mirror the Det-Ind series."
"Miami will come out flat and Detroit will "steal" game 1. Then Miami will get in gear, Wade will shoot the lights out, and win game 2. Detroit will come home cocky and too relaxed, and lose game 3. Suddenly, the whole nation starts bashing on them and counting the days until Shaq gets his next ring."
"Then, Detroit will get pissed off and start playing Piston basketball and proceed to reel off 3 straight, as Wade struggles to get 15-20 in all of them [like this first game]. Bring on the Spurs."
Date: May 24th, 2005 1:25 AM Author: Hyperventilating haunting goyim
I'm not sure I buy the whole storyline, but it is at least plausible--I'm pretty sure that in their hearts, at least, they are not yet sold on the idea that the Heat can beat them when it counts.
Date: May 24th, 2005 1:28 AM Author: Charismatic infuriating school
Because it's what Detroit does...one little blip (a loss in game 2) doesn't shake them.
Coming back home, they think they can simply win 2 with ease. They need a slap in the face on their home court before they wake up and really get down to business--exactly what happened in the Indiana series.

My thoughts on the game:
1. Detroit is a obviously still a very good team even though people have been giving most of the attention to the other teams. They are very balanced with Rip, Rasheed, Ben, Billups, and company. The X factor is the relentless team D which Miami didn't react to very well to tonight.
2. Miami looked like a 2 man team tonight. Sure, E Jones played well also but Miami needs more help from the other starters/bench...otherwise this series will be short.
3. Dwayne Wade had an off night but he's playing the defending champs not the Wizards. I'm sure he already realizes he will have to work much harder against this Piston's D. Don't forget how the Piston's D ran so many people at Kobe last year to disrupt the Laker's offense. The Piston's may have a similar strategy in dealing with Wade/Heat this year. The Heat have a slim margin for error...they can't afford for Wade to have anymore sub-par games.
4. I think the hype around Dwayne Wade has really heightened the expectations for him which may be unfair. The kid is just 23 plus lacks playoff experience. The guy is the truth but the expectations have gotten out of hand pretty quickly.
5. This was just game 1. Let's see what the Heat come back with in game 2. BTW, I'm rooting for the Heat.
