Living in Queens and working in Manhattan makes me feel disadvantaged in a way--even with a household income over 300k. |

Now: as to a workable solution to your feelings. Move across the river. Problem solved. You take exactly what you make you will have all of the trappings of middle class/upper middle class life you want. If you want to pay for the privilege of a NYC zip code. I don't feel bad for you.
