At least that nutjob will never be president.
His family's insurance scandals make him unelectable at the national level.

Why would they?
I haven't followed the stories surrounding the filibuster that closely, although I have a decent understanding of what went on, and I don't visit many of the popular right-wing blogs that much because the writers there appear to be massive assholes, but from what I gather, many of them were furious over the deal reached on Monday concerning judicial nominees. Many blamed him, and since it's a decent indication of how the base feels about him, it's a decent indication of how much they'd support him for 2008. I have a feeling he's finished, which in some ways disappoints me, because I had a nagging feeling that he's little more than an empty suit.

I'll bet it wouldn't, but how would it become a big story in the country? It's not as if it's a relatively new scandal, if I am not mistaken. How'd he get elected and/or re-elected in Tennessee with this hanging over his head?
In fact, what happened with Frist, at least from the general details I know, doesn't sound entirely differnt from what happened with the Medicare prescription drug bill. And we all see how much that was a factor in the last election.

He's not running again in 06 because he would likely lose.
Frist is a weirdo, a moron, has skeletons in the closet, and will NEVER be president.
He was only picked as majority leader because Bush wanted somebody weak and compliant.

I am not sure about everything in there, although I'd like to hear stories if you have any, but I do agree that he's never going to be elected. That's why I want him to run.

I wouldn't have believed this until somewhat recently, but...
HCA got away with murder.
His brother should probably be in jail.

Well the AG's office offered the HCA folks a fine only (albeit a huge fine) deal...at almost exactly the same time Lott was being chased and the adminstration wanted Frist in his place as majority leader...
Don't get me wrong, I could really care less, but I think his association with HCA would be a legitimate problem.

And according to Bill Frist, it's still unclear whether the disease can be transmitted through tears. He's got to be making Harvard Med School proud with that one."
how is it you're so certain yourself? the dominant explaination has been that transmission is through "bodily fluids." yet you know definitively which ones are included and which are not. or is it just that tears are a lot more like perspiration than blood, and nothing is more important than not upsetting the idea that those who don't want to shake hands with people who have AIDS are lunatics?
and i take it the general disbelief on this thread is primarily a reflection of this being an opportunity to travel with a crowd. given the lack of much specific refutation that shows any actual knowledge, i also assume that all anyone is really saying is: newsweek has never made this counter-theory a cover-story.
the claim she's making -- or,more exactly, that she's entertaining the possible truth of -- is occasionally advanced by people who seem to know more than anyone here.

I'm not in favor of outings, but if an outing has to occur, revealing information like this really softens the blow. I have been laughing about this AIDS thing for an hour.

My main problem is that no plausible alternative theories were even proffered, so the whole essay (whose premise is shaky to begin with) simply loses any fucking credibility.

i thik someone from this site signed me up for that a long time ago. but i don't think it is totally dimissable. I have asked them to remove my name and apparently it is not a priority for them.

So, you're one of the very few people in America stupid enough to find this site not "totally dismissable", yet by some freak conincidence, you were randomly signed up by someone from the sight without your knowledge? Interesting.
And this accidental signing up was "a long time ago" but they someone tracked your life closely enough to learn you'd gone to NULS and then updated their records accordingly?
And now you're no longer denying that you're Jodie Rosello?
WTF?

the only thing that could make this whole thing more absurd is if she's been sitting her soaking in the pity for the 'outing' of her mother's obit when it wasnt even her mother's obit. That might one-up the one-upping J provided to counter MC's outing of Suggary and Mastadon.
Who is the bigger villain, the psychotic chick who posts someone's mom's obituary or the psychotic chick who is pretending that its her mom when it really isnt?
