let's see:
in 2011, i visited the er maybe 5-6 times, urgent care clinics maybe 15-20 times, and had at least 2-3 regular doctor's visits a month.
i also had 2 cat scans of my chest/lungs, a sinus MRI, a head CT, a colonoscopy, an upper endoscopy, 3-4 EKGs, several blood tests,a spleen/liver ultrasound, an echocardiogram, a stress test, a holter monitor, skin prick allergy testing, an assorted psychologist/psychiatrist vists.

it's not baseless --i'll give you examples:
in 2009, it burned when i urinated, and i went to an urgent care to get antibiotics for an uti. my bf at the time rolled his eyes and told me there was nothing worng and that i was wasting my time. when, a day later, i was urinating frank blood, i went to the er, where they discovered i was infected with mycoplasma, not bacteria. they ran a ct-scan of my kidneys to see if there was any other cause for the frank bleeding -- my kidneys looked fine, but the CT revealed nodules on my lungs, instead.
i then had to undergo lung CTs every 6 months for 2 years to ascertain that they were benign nodules/not growing.
as another example, i frequently complain of palpitations, and went to see a cardiologist for a holter monitor. apparently, i was having ventricular tachycardia (a dangerous arrhythmia) IN MY SLEEP. My bf at the time was telling me it was all in my head and not real.
A month ago, i woke up with a cough; when i developed a fever that night, i went to the er. The guy I'm seeing rolled his eyes and laughed at me for seeking er treatment for a "simple cold". A chest x-ray revealed PNEUMONIA --just like that --I had been 100% fine the day before. I was given ciprofloxacin, to which I had an allergic reaction, and had to be given steroids + IV medications.

Do you smoke pot or anything to calm yourself down? I feel like a lot of people who suffer from anxiety at this level go beyond traditional meds to put the shit to rest.
How do you work/socialize/maintain friendships? It seems that your involvement in self-related issues takes up the time of two full-time jobs.

i take xanax for panic attacks, but otherwise avoid meds, cause i seem to have adverse reaction to everything.
i also can't drink, due to awful acid reflux/erosive esophagitis.
i have a very frail physical constitution, which has exacerbated my similarly frail psychological constitution.
