brother, what the fuck do you think a law career looks like nowadays? big law is three years of sitting in an office by yourself fiddling with Word documents. After that you will be unemployed and will have to scrounge for lower paying law jobs or non-law work. You will likely not end up a "lawyer" in the medium-run, much less the long-run, so who gives a shit?

I'm not in big law but my firm does litigation and even with solicitor work, at ANY firm, you're expected to bring in clients to advance. This requires people skills.
