There's a reason the richest, most preftigious international kids from every single country want to get their degrees HERE. Period.

Our pro sports are awesome and some simply don't exist in any meaningful form overseas.
Class mobility. Yes there is a lot of income inequality but if you're a really smart kid who grows up on a farm in the midwest you still have a shot at founding a startup or getting an upper-middle class job, etc. That isn't even possible in some countries where nepotism and corruption rule.
We run the world's culture. You hear American music, see Coke signs, and watch our movies/TV everywhere on the globe. |
