Women look at me and presume (rightly so) that I haven't been in a fight for almost a decade. However, if I had a 3.5 face, 75 lb. of excess bulk (only 20 of which would need to be muscle) and no glasses, I'd have no problem pwning women.
The reason women are this way is that they still harbor this fantasy of having the boyfriend who can protect them in a redneck bar. (What is she doing there in the first place?) Women haven't figured out that, among my social class, fights don't happen after age 13. |

The 10-point scale is meaningless. I'm about 75-80th percentile among my age group, but if you're going to model it as a scale with mean 5, std-dev 2, then I'm only a 6.5. With a flat distribution, I'm 7.5-8.0. With a Pareto distribution... you get the idea. So it's pretty meaningless. |

Most people didn't actually believe them, because they were so outlandish, but they were enough to put women at a distance... until I was friends with her, at which point the friendzone set in.
It was a complicated and less than ideal situation, but you're right that if freshman year had not happened, I probably could've found a great girlfriend. |

I mean, Feynman probably had a higher IQ than you, but "little" people liked him and helped him and he liked them.
A single example from personal experience: there's this dude named Tiberio I do college bowl with. Maybe 12 people are in the club and he's one of the top 4-5 because he gets a lot of the science questions. Tiberio is an arrogant, competitive asshole, however. Therefore when he misses a science question everyone is kind of happy about it and makes fun of him. Now I happen to get a lot of the literature/history questions. But when I miss something in those fields people don't laugh at me, because I'm not cocky about the ones I get right. I think the lesson here is that it isn't usually envy of intelligence that drives people to dislike smart people, it's an instinctive dislike of people with swollen heads and a desire to humble them. I don't dislike the other guy on the team who's really good at science and math, even though he's probably smarter than Tiberio. I did dislike the cocky asshole who failed math in junior high.
