my parents bought this for me, but i've never used it. i think i tried to use it once to call a tow truck on NYE after driving into a ditch, but we managed to push the car out before it got there.

this is the difference between a man and a "man".

If you have snow tires you don't need chains or studs (unless you live on a back mountain road or something). Since I moved south, I don't even bother with snow tires any more. I have AWD and that has been sufficient with my all season tires for the few times a year that it snows.

if you drive up mountains or through severe weathers, you would need chains even if you have all season tires.

when i was on ski team our coach made us put the chains on the team van every time, once i was putting them on, and some chad did donuts in his truck where we were pulled over, spraying us with gravel and snow. coach told us how if you put a ski pole on a car headlight and gave it a little pop it would break it very easily. we broke both the dudes headlights out in the parking lot and i still wonder how he got home since it was night time
