plugging into Hsu's formula,
+0.6(1.26) = +0.756 SD
100+(15*0.756)= 111.34
Trump and Marla Maples' children should average in at around 111.34 IQ.
we know that the LSAT score is centered around 150 and that college students are slightly smarter than the general population.
assuming that the average LSAT taker has a 110 IQ, then we might predict that Tiff, having a 111 IQ will end up with almost the median LSAT score, which is 150. perhaps low 150s.
if Tiff's first practice sets equate to an LSAT score of 140, this gels with common xo folklore that you will improve about 8-12 points. her eventual score will likely be around 150, which would confirm that her IQ is around 111.34.

plugging a 145 LSAT into this formula, we have:
IQ = 1.37(145) - 94.755
IQ = 103.9
which is within one 12-point residual standard deviation of 111.34.
which probably means that the 130 and 108 IQ guesses for Trump and Maples are probably not completely off the mark.
Tiff has regressed closer towards the white mean of 100. not helped by her father's decision to marry ~108 IQ actresses and models. |

1. I went to Penn for undergrad, there were lots of striver idiots who improved from high 140s/low 150s to high 160s and they're doing just fine now (mostly biglaw). Tiffany is par for the course here (okay, maybe she's a little behind, but not hopelessly so).
2. Being related to an important person gives you a huge bump in admissions. There was a kid in my "small section" at law school (CCN) that barely pulled above a 160 on the LSAT, but since his dad is a really important person at that particular university, he got in (yes, he's white). He's in biglaw now.
The LSAT is not a meaningful indicator of success for people like Tiffany Trump. She will go to law school, do biglaw for a year, and then go to work for her dad's company. |
