A lot of European expats are coming from countries like Spain, Italy, France, Greece, etc where youth unemployment is 20-40% and so they're just happy to be in a country that can provide them employment. Some even come to admire China more than their home countries. I remember some French law shrew lecturing me on the comparative advantages of the Chinese legal system over various western models or some Spaniard praising the efficiency of Chinese central planning.
