right now btc has 10x the market cap of eth, but i suspect that the ratio will decline to 2x or even 1x within 10 years. this implies substantial upside of eth.
note that it is not super hard to add eth to apps that use btc. so i think there is potential for widespread adoption of eth. |

Date: October 2nd, 2016 2:37 AM Author: dun theater stage knife a smart contract is just what it sounds like: a contract able to execute transactions based on predefined conditions. you can set up all kinds of things, like prediction markets, alternative coins, etc., on ethereum. no one has quite figured out the killer distributed app ("dapp") that will make ethereum popular. to a large extent eth is a bet that people will figure out useful things to do on the ethereum platform.
