The sad part about preposting is that it got out of control before it got to be a real art form. The best ones were the ones where you made a preopost and then edited it to fit the actual thread. SO for instance I preposted in a thread trolling against some schools and I edited my prepost to be trolling against the actual OP's school. He was pwn3d that day, indeed.

I must say I got a resounding chortle out of this caper! It reminds me of an incident that occured somewhere about three leagues South by Southwest of the Great Pyrenees in my ale-sodden youth. I was attending a ball thrown by one of the lesser Bourbons who was decidedly out of fashion with the more enlightened set. I had decided to risk any potential harm to my good name and reputation and attend in hopes of wooing some poor serving girl. Such were the lusty days of youth!!

In any event, I was not displeased with the event. Of course, being one of the more vulgar affairs of the season, there was a fair amount of voluble trumpeting regarding the finery and victuals, not all of them off base mind you. Being that war was afoot, plum duff took up more than its fair share of the meal, though the quail was superior. And joy of joys, the end of the main courses included a single ortolan for each guest. I was extremely tickled and ingested the delicacy with cloth over face in the proper manner. It was quite the gastronimical delight!

Of course, one foolish brigand in the back of the room, by all appearances some sort of half-ape caught in the wilds of Borneo, rejected his first and second courses. When the entree was being served he refused to enjoy, and insulted the hostess by insisiting that be allowed to continue eating the plum duff. Fool! The evening surely was ruined! But no, the lesser Bourbon was a might cleverer that her honorific suggested! She insisted that the fool continue with the duff. And continue he did. When the final courses of flumeries and sillabubs were served, the fool was offered only more plum duff! He learned about too much of a good thing that night!
