Got an NES around 1990.
Didn't own a console again until I bought a PS3 in 2007
Still haven't replaced the PS3, and I still game on it

SNES: As long as I can recall. Was my uncle's and he briefly lived with us, then left it behind when he moved out. First games were Super Mario World and the two golf games that were released in the SNES launch window.
Game Boy Pocket: 1996. First game was Toy Story.
N64: Late 1998 or early 1999. Can't recall precisely when, but my first game was Banjo-Kazooie (a '98 release) and I definitely had it by early 1999.
Gamecube: 2001, bought at launch. First game was Rogue Squadron 2.
Game Boy Advance: 2002, first game was Metroid Fusion.
PS2: 2006, first games were Guitar Hero II and some DDR game. (my sister got the system, actually, but she eventually lost interest and I own it now).
Wii: 2006, first game besides Wii Sports was Mario Strikers Charged (well, technically first was Military Madness on the Turbografx-16 Virtual Console).
DS: 2008, can't recall first game.
PS3: 2011, first game was Assassin's Creed II.
3DS: 2013, first game was A Link Between Worlds
Wii U: 2014, bought off Craiglist along with Wind Waker HD and New Super Mario Bros U.
I've never gotten rid of a system though I have no clue where the Game Boy Pocket or its games are these days (which sucks, because said games include Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Pinball, and Metroid II).

My roommate and I have all our consoles plugged in. We have a multi-tap set-up for the Xbone, 360, Wii U, and PS3, so they can share an HDMI slot. The Wii, PS2, N64, and SNES all use component cables, so I have to swap them out on the TV depending on which I want to play but otherwise they're completely ready to go.
I used to own quite a few Virtual Console titles on the Wii, but that Wii is still with my parents (my brother plays it occasionally so I didn't want to take it) and my current one has nothing. I have no problem using the Virtual Console (or in the case of Japan-only games, PC emulation), but I enjoy collecting SNES and N64 carts so I mostly play those two systems on original hardware. My entire NES, Genesis, and PS1 "collections," though, are in digital formats spread across different venues (Steam, 3DS Virtual Console, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection, etc.).

PS2- 2004.
That was it.
Parents were poor growing up and that one time my dad bought us a PS2 was amazing
Always envied other kids in my school getting 360s etc and shelling 50 bucks per game.
So I just learned how to pirate PC games

Never really got into beating games either.
Would lose interest midway and would never beat them.
Only games I play are either EU4/CK2 etc where I can pause, some SC b/c I'm KOrean, and just casual FIFA/Madden etc w/ my friends

1990 or 91 - NES
1993 - Gameboy
1996 - N64
Then went 20 years before buying a PS4 in 2016.
Also, like 2 years ago my Boomer parents gave me their Wii that they never played, but I never used it.

Atari 400 - early 80s
NES - late 80s. Had subscription to Nintendo power
Wasn't interested in any of the SNES games for whatever reason and pretty much stopped after middle school
