This dovetails with a similar stress relief mechanism whereby you obsessively dispense your political views on the internet. This activity is frequently little more than than expressive masturbation. You assumably gain some relief or pleasure by arguing politics with similar and modestly invested strangers, night after night. And all day too, for many of you.

You wolfishly pursue this relief with evident conviction and dedication as if there was some identifiable benefit to the activity other than your own pleasure. It's delightfully mentally ill and all the more so because so few of you realize it. Most of the regulars here are mentally eccentric to some degree. But the ardent, over-invested political thugs? What the fuck is motivating you other than some kind of misdirected dissatisfaction that you're compulsive spewing into the void of the internet?

I concede that a not insignificant number of politicsmos have varied posting histories and that many other posters are also one-note. But I think most would agree that there is something specially unctuous about the relentlessly combative, MAF political obsessives.

None of you guys donate, volunteer, or engage in substantive political action other than a minority of you casting a vote in federal elections. this is retarded. the trajectory we bemoan isn't something that requires a crystal ball to have a sense of. take the difference between the previous generation or two and today, as it relates to the sort of shit we care about, and extrapolate into the future another generation or two. the only question is the speed of the descent, not whether it's a foregone conculsion. you can argue that we're horrible people for finding that landing place objectionable, but that's about it. coincidentally, the biggest politicmos here (conesuela/lawman and similar) don't fit into your paradigm becaue their projections are unreasonably optimistic insofar as they refuse to acknowledge that it's not a done deal.

XO is right about our nation's trajectory because 1) its not fucking rocket science just look at similar countries 2) evidence so far has been strongly confirming (look at SJW "progress"/how white privilege went from an obscure academic term to mainstream in the last 5 years) and finally it relies upon certain well proven, well established human traits.
