Organizations such as SLPC want to exclude "hate" and "bigotry" from the debate entirely, so that the forum for the exchange of ideas looks like this:

Bigots_ _ _ _[_ _ _ _ Ideas_ _ _ _]_ _ _ _Hate

This is the idea behind the "list." It lets everyone know who is to be excluded, and also is of course a mechanism for public shaming, doxxing, etc, to suppress and intimidate those people from uttering their ideas at all.

They don't put Antifa on the list because they want the Antifa message inside the brackets so it can be discussed.
