Very forced kill of Thanos very early on in the movie - Thor cuts his head off.
5 years pass and Antman magically escapes from the quantum realm and tells Stark to make a time machine - which Stark knew all along but didn't make because of the associated risks.
Dumb time travel deus ex machina which results in a new Infinity Gauntlet being made from Starks iron man suit glove.
Hulk uses it and is injured, Tony Stark uses it but dies. After everyone is brought back there is an epic final battle.
Captain Marvel matched Thanos' strength but only bc he doesnt have the Infinity Gauntlet anymore. Suddenly Thanos is nerfed as fuck which is weird because he totally dominated Hulk.
No end credits scene. Lame. Wanted to see some CELESTIAL shit.
Fat Thor and Captain America using Mjolnir were the only two good parts of the movie. And when Captain America whispers HAIL HYDRA in the elevator.
Honestly the whole time travel plot device shit was lame as fuck.

Time travel is impossible and Stark laughs at them, then he solves time time later that evening.
The girl power moment is GAY AS FUCK.
Also Captain America is now a negro.
So 4 of the top Avengers are white guys. One is now green always, one died, one is old as fuck, and another is fat and lazy.
Black woman is now queen, black guy is now captain america, the jew girl gave her life to get the soul stone, and the strongest character by far is the most boring Wonder Woman.
Marvel made enough cash for all of them to retire for generations and their Endgame was to butt-fuck American culture and destroy it. |

It was about integrating ALL the characters and it gave some great scenes--the opening killing of Loki and then Heimdall sending Hulk To Earth, Guardians and Thor was an all time classic because those two guys are legitimately funny and Ironman and Dr. Strange in the Sanctum Sanctorum was funny as well. The cast is bigger in IW obviously and maybe the movie is better for it. War Machine getting more lines isn't really a key improvement.
Plus Thanos really had some screen time in the first one and he is a great villian. He has a pathos about him. Like Colonel Kurtz. I think Thanos was making sense in IW.
Compared to End Game? Wasn't the death of Gamora more wrenching than Black Widow (no one likes except ScarLo is hot).
I agree the End Game final battle is the better of the two and maybe the most outlandishly cool battle scene ever.
And early death of Thanos was a good idea. Made the movie more interesting and thoughtful. |
