We both think catholicism is TTT from different sides. I'd be sedevacantist if those churches existed with any numbers but I'm not looking for theological purity here (and I'm still an atheist), just chill routine and pageantry

As lib as the episcopal church is, it's still going to have a more relatively conservative community than any non-religious family-oriented thing

why exactly are you interested in the episcopalian brand of christianity? seems like an odd choice if you're looking for a new community for you and your family to join. the one episcopal church here that isn't megapozzed (it's merely superpozzed) is notoriously insular

I go to catholic mass with my gf and her parents from time to time and I appreciate the service. I generally have grown to appreciate the need for such a grounding in this fraud world but switching to Episcopalian just seems more chill and I don't have to feel like I'm fakeworshipping in a global apparatus of pederasty with a feckless fraud pope. Going to episcopal service simply feels like less of a statement, and less of a mental leap while being a heathen

It's not like I talked to parishioners in mass either. I'm sure I'll move again before I have kids anyway, so I'd be starting fresh on community no matter what, so any insularity is meaningless. Catholic mass is all Hispanics anyway, not exactly my "people"

I'm in line with xo on many (most?) things. Nationalism, anti-immigration, voted Trump, clown world, we're Rome before the fall, shitlibbery is a cancer and the moral decay and decadence while doesn't bother me at an individual level is horrific when paraded and celebrated to the degree it is today, I don't care about abortion or gay marriage except as symptoms of societal decline (generally pro-choice and pro-gay marriage though, only find it hard to take either position now because of the association with shitlibs)
