as for as grocery stores its simple - its private property and people should follow the rules set by grocery stores. if the stores require you to wear a mask you must wear a mask to shop there. you dont like it then fuck off and go somewhere else

Masks are a small and effective way to prevent transmission of covid in common indoor areas. Japanese and other societies show this. Stores where people have to go, the grocery store, have policies to wear a mask inside. Not outside, not in your home, not in your car, not in your friends home, but in their store. Private store, private policy. Don't like it, leave. Order groceries online. The one you put at risk is their employees.

If you won't observe the policy of the business to wear a mask while you're inside it for 30 minutes so that their employees don't get covid, because you think it's the first step on the way to death camps, not sure how to quell your fears.

an example is vaccinations. regardless of whether you are pro- or anti-vaccination, you'd think it would be a strongly held belief that people should make their own decisions regarding whether to undergo a medical procedure.

but right now there is a big push to get rid of the religious exemption for vaccinations in certain states, Connecticut being an example i think. Something like 2-3% of people claim a religious exemption. libs, of course, want to mandate people get the vaccines or else severely punish them (e.g., you can't use public schools (but oh btw you still have to fund them)).

the normie reaction is "well hey now i don't want to be around someone who isn't vaccinated", but that isn't the thrust of removing the religious exemption, since 97% of people get vaccinated and thus are protected from people who aren't vaccinated. instead, libs are concerned about the tiny sliver of people who are super immuno-compromised and who cant get vaccines for medical reasons, and so argue that 99.9% should be forced to get vaccines for the benefit of the 0.1%.

that will now help you understand the liberal position. they would prefer to control 99.9% of all people, rather than allow them to make their own decisions, for the benefit of the 0.1%, rather than just, say, help that 0.1% find alternative arrangements such as property tax credits to take advantage of home schooling.
