It's sort of like me mentoring my TTT associates. I can teach them strategy, tactics, legal analysis, drafting skills, but at the end of the day, if I locked them in a room with a laptop and westlaw for a year, they simply would not have the wherewithal to draft a MSJ that would be even a shadow of what I could produce in a mere 2-3 days. Even giving them every tool imaginable, they simply lack the capacity to perform up to the standard.

I feel the same way when I read this poast. You could lock me away for a year and prompt me to write on the topic posed by the OP, and anything I could produce, no matter how many times edited and reedited, would be a mere shadow of what this author cranked out in likely half an hour. It's like telling a 5'8 balding, chubby of counsel to go dunk on a regulation hoop.
