It's still unclear what her liability would be for Howard's death, even civilly. A cartel psychopath killed someone who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and other cartel psychopaths covered it up.

i mean, the first shot of him in prison was a shot of the dough mixer in the kitchen, just like cinnabon. he's still working in the kitchen, except now he's not hiding and he's actually well-respected and liked by everyone in the prison for defending criminals. that was, actually, pretty well done. deserves more credit than it will get.

plus, going to prison reconnected him with kim.

They should've slipped in a line about how since he's confessing to a bunch of stuff, he'll be able to make millions off selling Saul Goodman books from jail and use the proceeds to help Kim out, but that directly contradicts his weird mea culpa at the end and his weird denial about being Saul in the jail bus ride.

jimmy being slick and getting himself out and giving her a bunch of money is *exactly* what she doesn't want. a big theme of the last episode is that money isn't what's important. initially jimmy wanted to use the time machine for trillions. but then he realizes that he'd go back and not have his first slip and fall. he never would have become slippin' jimmy. kim doesn't want slippin' jimmy giving her a bunch of dough.

the final scenes didn't make sense but it makes sense for jimmy's character. the show wanted him to get redemption, and they found a way to do it. a little stupid and unrealistic but i get it.
