Date: May 25th, 2023 8:15 PM Author: spectacular kink-friendly hospital Clean it after you use it, but realistically, modern ones like Glocks can run for thousands of rounds past when they should be cleaned. There are some competitive shooters like Ben Stoeger who run Glocks for 70,000 rounds without ever cleaning them.
The general rule of thumb is that the older the gun, the more frequently you should clean it (unless it's some combloc trash).
Also, if it's clean, it's going to stay clean and it'll run 100 years later as long as it's kept free of rust and mud. Just clean it and lube it and throw it in a safe when you're done and it'll be good to go whenever. |

Guns will be fine for years and years in a climate controlled space if you use a decent quality oil and do a thorough job oiling.
You will want to check on your guns much more frequently, probably at lease every 6 months, and by check on them, I mean spend 30 seconds going over a single gun to make sure there wasnt a change in the environment that you didn’t notice that is pwning your guns. |

Yeah I have mild astigmatism, so while I like the Holosun 507k on my P365X, it does have some distortion, plus red dots are out of focus when youre focused on the target. Holographics aren't distorted by astigmatism, and they somehow project the reticle onto the target so both are in focus. I wish there were miniature ones for pistols. |
