make it 35 and up--then things get interesting. you also kind of have to filter for class for this to be meaningful. the average height for all US males may be like 5'9" or something but that includes many squat mayan-descended people and legions of white trash who grew up undernourished. make it white people with a college degree and the average is much closer to 6'. i am sure the same thing exists for fitness benchmarks to even an more pronounced degree. health and fitness are a luxury item for the working class and for from routine for lower-middle class. the affluent, the more likely people will be in good cardio shape in particular.
