Anyway, thanks for the rec. I'll do the whole Baldur's Gate again, but it's nice to take some time to play other things. I also got the Star Wars game, and I might give that a run through before I go back to elves and gnomes. |

I'd like to finish Neverwinter at some point, but I can't really get used to the henchman system. It seems sort of dumb. 6 or 4 or whatever is artificial too, but at least I could understand that a group of people setting out on an adventure would need to limit their numbers because it's too hard to make decisions in a party of 50000000 or because they didn't want to divide the loot too many ways. It's hard for me to think of a reason a rational person would keep their party so small that they couldn't have both a cleric and a thief in it at the same point, which is what the Neverwinter system seems to do. |

Still, I'm kind of committed to the idea of giving it a fair shot on the possibility that it gets better (the same way I try to read books at least halfway through before deciding they suck).
If you've played more of the game than me and can assure me that it doesn't improve, I might reconsider in light of your higher Wisdom stat. |

The game also had no story whatsoever. It reminded me of Diablo II, but was not nearly as fun as even that game. |

Neverwinter Nights 2 is pretty good, though. You get a real party, and the characters are decent. |
