They fucked up a pickup and blamed me for the fuckup. I wasn't about to take that shit, so I made sure the server knew it was his fault.
They banned me for being rude. It's ridiculous, I didn't curse or raise my voice, I just had a short argument over who was to blame for the fuckup (it was clearly 100% his fault).
I'm kind of pissed. Over the long run this will probably cost me some $$. This is a place with table service, the Doordash tips tend to be higher from a place like that vs. McDonalds.

I show up at the restaurant, the server doesn't give me the opportunity to tell him which order I'm there to pick up - he recognizes me as a Doordash driver and tells me to wait.
So I wait a long time, probably 15 minutes. Then he hands me an order, but it's the wrong fucking order. I tell him "That's not my order". He says "You didn't tell me who you were here to pick for". I said "You didn't ask. You told me to wait".
Turns out the order I was there to pick up had been sitting there the entire time.

No. When places see me with my bright orange Doordash bag and tell me to wait, they are implicitly saying 'I know which order you're here for and we're working on it'.
If I ask them to confirm the name of the order after they see me and tell me to wait - there's no way to do that without coming across as rude. I've tried it. They get offended.
Host: "It'll just be a few minutes."
Me: "Ok, I'm here for Mark by the way."
Host (visibly and audibly annoyed): "Well we just have the one order."

Thoughts on whether I should track down the restaurant owner and let him know how retarded his employee is?
On the one hand, if I were a small business owner I'd want to know if one of my guys was being so idiotic. On the other hand, it feels like a super petty move.

They unbanned me.
I have no idea why, I didn't track down anyone to make a complaint. I've been talking shit about him and his restaurant to anyone that will listen, maybe word got back to him. Maybe he saw Doordash orders sitting there getting cold and he realized it was bad business to ban Dashers too capriciously.
