they kept the faster but shorter lens into the V. next one should have some pretty solid specs after the long wait.

I would only buy it to shoot video at this point, but I also can't justify buying anything else to shoot videos.

He shoots on an a1 ii with a case of GM primes. In an uncompromising life of excellence, accept no substitutions. The Sony alpha flagship: unleash the world spirit.

I like my GR III because it forces you to work with 28mm, and because you can't buy a 28mm interchangeable lens that good. Even mirrorless cameras put extra distance between the lens and the sensor, reducing sharpness. Good 28mm prime lenses also cost more than a GR III.

No one serious shoots with a fixed lens camera. Also 28mm is an odd focal length. A 24 or 35mm g master on a good full frame body will crush it.

28mm used to be the cutoff for "wide angle," and there's a photography group I participate in that only allows you to shoot at 28mm or less. It's actually the perfect angle for travel photography because you can get wide street shots without anyone noticing you're taking pics. Much harder to get candid shots when people see a tourist with a camera.

The GR lens is a 50 year-old design that came from outer space. Look at what people pay for old film versions that still work.

That camera is the reason I'm glad I never invested in Sony kit. For years I was really worried Nikon was dead. I was hoping Pentax would release a new FF body but it looks like it won't.
