The author talked off the record with Senators from both parties and they all agreed that a fiscal crash is coming, but they hoped and believed that it would come after they had left office. Both Democratic and Republican Senators said that.
And that pretty much sums up where we are as a country. There's very little to "believe" in, so it's just a matter of every man and interest group for himself, trying to rip whatever meat is remaining from the American corpse before it's not even fit for buzzards and only worms can take a shot at it. |
