I’m disappointed with the reaction to my letter to the YLS faculty. I’ll admit I didn’t put much effort into it, but I think it communicated my point to the people who needed to understand. Heide Iravani has cost this community greatly through the T14 contest and more prominently, Reputation Defender and the bad publicity associated with it. It may have been excessively spiteful, but I felt that pressure needed to be applied in such a way that it became unthinkable to question XO sovereignty. I regret that GTO felt compelled to resign but I believe this was more the result of an accumulation of events than me crossing some (very arbitrary) boundary line.
