First, take me up on my offer to answer questions; begin with some innocuous ones to get me on the hook. Then ask a question that requires some amount of quantitative analysis ("I get that Chicago grads do lots of clerkships, but isn't most of that done a year or two out of school? Basically no one gets a clerkship straight out.") After I make a spreadsheet, look up the data, carefully analyze the numbers, and post the results, the flame finishing move would have been to grossly misinterpret them in an incompetent but earnest way. I easily could have been lured into spending at least an hour arguing. |
