We had had very vague talks about marriage (me and her dad), so he probably thought I was pretty serious and was put off by her not wanting to come for the summer.
She's dated a ton of real winners (a couple of abusers, a couple of potheads, a coupel of "pro surfers") so her parents were really hoping things would work out. Also, her faimly is an old school southern family that is living in cali and I"m southern, which helped, I think. |

But yeah, I guess part of me thought some sort of miracle would happen over the summer. And I think she's legitimately torn, she's young and probably isn't ready to get into a serious relationship, but she also knows I'm the best guy she's ever dated. But with young females feelings will win out every time over a logical "he's the best guy I've ever dated" |
