1. This is to some extent bullshit. I can say with certainty that all things being equal I would rather date a girl who is short, with black hair, with C-cup tits, and who is white. This is "my type" of woman. I tend not to find black or asian women sexually appealing, although there are exceptions. In the same way, blond women don't really do it for me. I ask you, how is this proclivity towards people with black hair substantively different than a proclivity towards people with white skin?
2. To the extent that this is racist, why is racism per se a bad thing? Sure, racism has led to a lot of destructive things: (a) black neighborhoods, (b) segregation, (c)the holocaust. But it's also led to some good things: (a) America, (b) white neightborhoods, (c) stronger communities built around a common ethnic identity, (s) a multicultural world (in that if all races and cultures mixed, we would have a one-world super-culture rather than any meaningful diversity). Whose to say that the golden mean, "all things in moderation," doesn't apply to racial identity as well? |
