Some people have the lingering sentiment that they pay more in other countries to get more. But that's not true anymore. Between federal and state income tax, sales tax, propoerty tax, FICA, gas tax, car registration fees, etc., wagies here pay about as much as anyone in taxes. And we also get to pay $3,000 a month for health insurance that those taxes don't cover for people who are gainfully employed. |
