it does make sense because nuclear weapons are far more powerful than anything else in their arsenal. just because they have something more powerful than suicide vest already doesn't change his argument that they cannot be trusted with nukes. and i don't think they've shown the ability to kill tens of thousands of people outside their country (at least with one bomb). i don't think he really cares about iran killing iranians, it's about iran nuking israel.
i agree he's using suicide bombing to target a reptile brain response, like "grrr these sandniggers can't have nukes! if they're crazy enough to blow themselves up they'll definitely use them!"
ultimately, it's a distinction without a difference, whether he's talking about them using sci-fi briefcase nukes or actual nukes, his point is that they're crazy radicals and will use them. this is also why the "HAHA JD VANCE IS DUMB!" reaction irks me. i think it's more effective to target the core of what he's saying than quibble about whether a portion of his speech was literal or metaphorical. |
