Went to the ER for the first time as an adult. Completely fucking useless

For reference, this is a weakness thing, not a pain thing. An hour ago I took an Uber at my friend's suggestion to the hospital and talked to some brown nurse and an Indian doctor. I told them about it, they took my vitals, asked all sorts of questions, and told me I should be fine.
I took an Uber right back to my place as soon as I was done and I collapsed to my hands and knees as I was climbing into the back seats of an SUV. |

None of my joints are hard to move, it's just my knees buckle while I do anything extraneous. Going up stairs scares me now because I'm afraid I'll fall backwards. Now, it's on you to find a neurologist or orthopedist to start addressing the issue.
Even in a better functioning society, I wouldn't expect to be able to walk into the ER off the street and have a specialist explore and treat any and all non-life-threatening ailments. |

Or just try to get a referral to a specialist. Specialists have higher GPAs and are less incompetent but they still don’t “like” helping you. I am Jewish so Ik how this shit works.
The thing is, what would you have them do given the current State of medicine, order 50 scans? Just get the blood work done and see what the Markers say. Expecting a Dr to be “good” and not some OCI Match Day fuck whos like “patients suck, I am your better,” is severely misguided. |
