Miele wins on all counts. Bagged or bagless, it doesn't matter. The only advantage Dyson has is the Animal series because of the cordless design. Miele has nothing cordless. However, for getting anything done Miele wins.

This is because they never lose their suction ever for any reason. The Dysons get filthed up inside and overall suction degrades, even though there is no actual blockage. This requires you to disassemble and clean everything and let it sit for 24 hours. Miele makes bagless ones, but the whole bagless compartment is one module you can wash in the sink. The instructions are etched into the pieces so that even a slav can figure out how to do it.

The Mieles also have internal cleaning cycles they run, separate filters for this and that. They are just built to last. Even the power cord feels feels 180. Looks at the charger on the Dyson Animal: it's a DC jack you mount into a flimsy piece of plastic, with a power adapter straight off the boat in China. The Dysons seem to last a good long time, but the Miele feels at least 2x as durable.

Suction: Dyson has plenty but Miele has more. Miele is also more consistent.

Noise: Miele doesn't make any. Dyson you can hear a half mile away

The Miele are also built more durable. You can drop it down the stairs and pull it back up by the power cord no problem
