But some people saw total chaos around them and decided to build a library or find God or measure how many pubes can fit in a turtle shell and that's who we should aspire to be
The real immediate concern I think is that the West is totally listless when it doesn't have religion. We were built on Christianity for 2000k years and now on a societal level that's vaporized within the span of post-WWII. At worst people are entirely self interested and at best they prioritize their family, but that is still very narrowly self interested compared to how society used to function even in the recent past. |
