turd was a contractor at wife's f500 (company A) via a contracting agency, and eventually was hired as a w-2 employee. turd in in wife's general area, but reports to a different manager (manager A).
as it so happens, manager's brother used to also work at company A in the same general area, and is now a manager at company B. let's call manager's brother manager B.
manager B was recently interviewing contractors to work at company B. he came across turd's resume via a contracting agency.
manager B remembered that turd used to work for at company A, and called manager A (his brother) to ask for a reference. manager A said "holy fuck, why is this guy looking for consulting gigs when he's a full time employee here."
manager A went to HR. company A's HR told the turd that he needed to disclose all moonlighting/consulting he's doing, and he can continue if there's no conflict issues.
turd then submitted his resignation to company A.
