I paid 60K for the composite deck and concrete footers. The pilings were helical pilings that were drilled in. That was a huge expense, but it won't buckle or heave with the permafrost.
It completely changes the house and it's awesome. The pic was from once the snow melted and I hadn't cleaned up the yard or put the jetski docks in the water yet. |

Because it's so warm, it's the main recreational lake where I live. Lots of jet skis, wake boats, ski boats, etc. The little sailboats are a ton of fun when it's too windy to do watersports.
